So which is > it? DJGPP programs only run on DOS-based systems. They are DOS programs. However, DJGPP's purpose is to build a layer between DOS and your application such that your application is itself a 32-bit flat model program. You can make 16-bit dos function calls directly if you wish, but you must then take responsibility for moving any data to/from memory that DOS has access to. DJGPP normally does that for you if you let it.
