I want to fill my .bss section with the .bss parts from my object
files. BUT I want to have a specific file (pages.o below) last in the
.bss and page aligned.
I've tried:
.bss SIZEOF(.data) + ADDR(.data) :
{
_object.2 = . ;
. += 24 ;
*(.bss)
*(COMMON)
. = ALIGN(0x1000);
pages.o(.bss)
end = . ; _end = .;
}
and
.bss SIZEOF(.data) + ADDR(.data) :
{
_object.2 = . ;
. += 24 ;
*(.bss)
*(COMMON)
. = ALIGN(0x1000);
pages.*(.bss)
end = . ; _end = .;
}
But the "*(.bss)" part seems to gobble it up anyway. Probably because
that's how it's designed.
So, short of listing all my files except pages.o instead of "*" in
"*(.bss)", is there another way? (The other files are quite many and
I'd prefer not to have to edit the linker script when I add yet
another one.)
Right,
MartinS
