There's probably something wrong with the way your DOS box is configured. I suggest to walk through the Property Sheets and see what non-standard options are set there. Also, look at CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT, if you have any. Perhaps one of them loads some TSR or device driver that gives you the trouble.
