Could you please elaborate? C++ exceptions or Windows32 SEH (Structured 
Exception Handling)? Mingw uses setjmp/longjmp EH -- it's suboptimal, but
the advantage is that it works (except that you can't catch exception 
thrown in a DLL from the executable).
