You should install a handler for signal SIGSEGV (and SIGILL etc.).
e.g.:
signal (handler,SIGSEGV);
..
void handler (int sig)
{
if (sig == SIGSEGV)
{
/* do you exception handling here */
}
raise (SIGABRT);
}
