Okay, I used to have a merge/split pair that used ms-dos compatible file
names for the split files. ie.
fred.001, fred.002, fred.003 etc.
Sometime during my last update, I accidently overwrote them with the
other merge/split pair in the distribution, which uses the filenames:
fred001, fred002, fred003.
How do I get the first one back? And why in heck are both part of the
distribution?
