 Dear All,
    I've gotten many responses to my question regarding
 	scanf("%c", &option);
 almost all of which work.  The most straightforward fix is to
 insert a blank at the beginning of the format string.  
 Someone else suggested using getkey(), which I like, but which
 isn't portable.  Is there a similar function on UNIX?
