In NT 4.0 SP3 if I extract the user-src and from a separate object
directory
	configure --prefix=/usr i586-cygwin32
	make
I get an invalid separator error on line 96 of ash/Makefile.  I believe
this happens as well from a configure in the source directory.

The cause of this error was not apparent to me.
