The User's Guide contains a description and examples explaing how to do
that:

https://cygwin.com/cygwin-ug-net/using.html#cygdrive

Just don't use the cygdrive prefix but create an explicit mount for
that.

Again this is explained with example in the User's Guide.
https://cygwin.com/cygwin-ug-net/using.html#cygdrive
(reading time ca. 5 mins)

in conjunction with the chapter explaining the mount table
https://cygwin.com/cygwin-ug-net/using.html#mount-table
(reading time ca. 15 mins), also containing examples.
