AIUI -mno-cygwin doesn't work on MinGW GCC and has already been removed.

$ gcc --version
gcc.exe (GCC) 4.6.1

warranty; not even for MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

$ gcc -mno-cygwin -c a.c
cc1.exe: error: unrecognized command line option '-mno-cygwin'
