Hi - I'm trying to extract a cramfs image built from a Linux system under W= indows using cygwin. I have a Vista OS and have installed the latest curren= t cygwin build. I'm a "windows guy" and have little knowledge of Linux. =20 I start up a bash shell and run "cramfsck -v -x test rootfs" which all goes= well until I get: =20 s 0666 0 0:0 test/dev/log cramfsck: mknod failed: test/dev/log: Invalid argument =20 which looks to me like mknod doesn't like creating socket files? Now from w= hat little I can figure out, mknod uses some sort of device table to know w= hat sort of things it can create? and maybe sockets isn't one of them? Can = someone please help me to try to figure out what I need to get this working= ? also, I don't have a /dev/log folder - could that be an issue? =20 Thanks for any help, John _________________________________________________________________ POP access for Hotmail is here!
