Hi, I try to debug setup.exe but gdb crashes when I "start" the program * I get source of setup from CVS (sources.redhat.com:/cvs/cygwin-apps) and I build it with ./doconfigure && make && make install * I try to start a debugging session : $ gdb ./setup.exe GNU gdb 6.8.0.20080328-cvs (cygwin-special) Copyright (C) 2008 Free Software Foundation, Inc. License GPLv3+: GNU GPL version 3 or later <http://gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html> This is free software: you are free to change and redistribute it. There is NO WARRANTY, to the extent permitted by law. Type "show copying" and "show warranty" for details. This GDB was configured as "i686-pc-cygwin"... (gdb) start /netrel/src/gdb-6.8-2/gdb/breakpoint.c:5082: internal-error: expand_line_sal_maybe: Assertion `found' failed. A problem internal to GDB has been detected, further debugging may prove unreliable. Quit this debugging session? (y or n) y As I understand, setup.exe is a "mingw" application my gdb is the "cygwin gdb" "cygwin gdb" can debug "mingw app" ? (I suppose that is right) any suggestions ? -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
