Hello,

I recently downloaded cygwin and I've been trying to make ssh and sftp
work with no success. When I run these commands I get these outputs:

$ ssh user AT 142 DOT 268 DOT 10 DOT 26

$ sftp user AT 142 DOT 268 DOT 10 DOT 26
Connecting to 142.268.10.26...
Connection closed

With neither of them I am even prompted for the password. I am using
Windows XP, and the bash version of cygwin is GNU bash, version
3.1.17(6)-release (i686-pc-cygwin).

I would appreciate if anybody could give me a hint on what I can do to
make them work. Or if it may be better to uninstall cygwin and follow
some instructions from scratch, that would also be welcome.

Thanks in advance,
