I was noticing at the long delay there is as the program does MD5 checksum checks in the beginning the program if you have an extremely large number of packages for it to check. I have a suggestion that involves changing the order in which the steps are performed. My suggestion is to move the MD5 checksum check to after the package selection then to have it do the checks on the packages selected to install. Obviously if it needed to download the packages then that part may not even need to be touched since I assume it does it in a similar order to that. This will drastically reduce wait time when a large number of packages are available. When I say a large number I am talking along the lines of maybe the entire archive. Or even a big chunk of it. -- Robert Pendell shinji257 AT gmail DOT com -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
