Did you try the email archives?

<http://www.google.com/search?as_q=&num=10&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&btnG=Goog

type=&as_qdr=all&as_occt=any&as_dt=i&as_sitesearch=cygwin.com&safe=images>

Reviewing the posts found from the above, I'm guessing that you're using an
old version of the Cygwin DLL. If that's not the case and none of the
other
discussion in the email archives is helpful, please visit
<http://cygwin.com/problems.html> before posting any follow-ups, so this
list can get the information it needs to help you find your problem.
Otherwise, just upgrade.

Subject: cron and crontab problem

I've installed the cron service as described in another message in this
newsgroup. When I try to start the service though I get the following:

"Could not start the cygwin cron service. The service did not return an
error. This could be in internal windows error or an internal service
error"

Also, if I try to edit my crontab file with "crontab -e", when I go to save
it I get "chown: Invalid argument"

What do I need to do to fix these? TIA
