In addition to what Elfyn (a.k.a. Luke) and Igor told you <WAG> are you using g++ for the linking stage as well as the compilation? My WAG is that you're not, and that you're missing the C++ library during the link as a result. Try using g++ to link. </WAG> Try posting the following: * A small part of the source files that generates the error * the command you used to compile & link it (i.e. a Makefile) * the output of cygcheck as per http://cygwin.com/problems.html (please read carefully for the options to cygcheck to use and the way to send this info) HTH rlc On Thu, 24 Apr 2003, Ignasi Villagrasa wrote: > Hi, > > I have got the same problem upgrading cygwin version. linker doesn't > find new operators. > > For instance: > > treepath.obj(.text+0x2b2):treepath.cpp: undefined reference to `operator > new(unsigned, void*)' > vcache.obj(.text+0x278):vcache.cpp: undefined reference to `operator > new(unsigned, void*)' > > Any solution ? > > Thanks in advance, Ignasi Villagrasa. > > PS.: I'm using g++ for C++ modules, not gcc. > > > > > > > > -- > Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple > Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html > Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html > FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ > -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
