Subject: RE: setup.ini broken?

MIME-Version: 1.0

All,

Is there any possibility of getting the version number of the current
setup.exe tool listed prominently on the main Cygwin page? I've been having
some trouble with a proxy server (that I have no admin privs to) caching
setup.exe and handing that to me when I request an updated version. The
people who run the proxy server say they fixed it (I'm skeptical), but I get
the same error Mr. Beuman is getting when I try to download (using version
2.249.2.5). Knowing whether or not I'm using the current version of setup
will allow me to bother the people causing me trouble, rather than everybody
here on the list. Thanks

-Andy

You are probably using an old version of setup.exe. Use the 'Install Cygwin
Now' link at http://cygwin.com/ to download a newer version.
