Actually, porting bind (at least 8.3.x) is the easy part. This is thanks to the work by Steven Biggs: http://www.cygwin.com/ml/cygwin/2002-01/msg01419.html The hard part is adding mkfifo() to Cygwin. Without it, qmail, postfix, and possibly sendmail (I haven't grep-ed the code) won't work.
