I have installed cygwin 1.3.10 and "vi" does not work well. Upon install, I started the shell and typed: vi /etc/profile but it did not find the existing "profile". Instead, it started a new file, being unable to open the file from a different path. However, I can "cd" to the /etc directory and then vi profile and get to it fine that way. I've read the FAQs and studied through a huge list of mailing list but have found no reference to this. Any assistance would be wonderful. Thank you, John __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
