It's my understanding that whether a file is executable or not in cygwin is determined by the following: - file extension (.com, .bat, .exe) - the first line of the file (#!/bin/bash) I know of no other conditions which would make a file executable in cygwin, but if there were, it would be along those lines. -rgm At 09:33 AM 02.04.2002 -0800, you wrote: >I hope this isn't a stupid question.
