Do you have a reason for building gcc from source ? If not just run setup.exe and install the precompiled gcc + binutils. If you insist on building from source you can look for a file named config.log in the /home/nomit/objdir/libiberty and see on which test the configure test failed. nomit kalidhar wrote: > > hello > > I got the following message while configuring for gcc. > any pointers. > > configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler > cannot creat > e executables. > Configure in /home/nomit/objdir/libiberty failed, exiting. -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Bug reporting: http://cygwin.com/bugs.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
