I could track that down to a point where I saw different problems
in rshd which could rcp bar from doing it's job (wrong PATH variable,
slight environment problems and a system file which seemed to have
wrong permissions on my box) but nevertheless my rcp on the remote
side is still somewhat weary.

I will further investigate this problem but not with full power. `rcp'
is a weak tool which is most of the time running in the wrong user
context due to the missing NT password. However, there's a tool called
`scp' in the base distro which is doing that job fairly well!
