I am deciding on a development path and have downloaded cygnus's =
cygwin32.
I am running a win98 OS and trying to make autoconf. I managed to run =
configure in a bash window
from the Cygnus ICON then
in the directory c:\usr\local\autoconf-980211\

BASH-2.02$bash --login
bash-2.02$source configure #it took some time just to get to this point
first I came up with an error
unknown /bin/sh
=20
then it would kill the spawned shell and comback
BASH-2.02$

when I changed the configure script to only look for sh instead of =
/bin/sh
the configure script worked.

When I ran the makefile
it went partially through then choked on makeinfo.=20
makeinfo -I. ./autoconf.texi --no_split --output=3Dautoconf.info
makeinfo: not found=20

Upon further investigation make info was not included in the sources. Is =
this standard, or did I miss
something?

P.S. it is my understanding that in order to build a cross compiler I =
need, automake, autoconf and perl.
is this correct?

Thank you in advance,

Cash Reuser
