Subject: slow 'rm -rf' behavior on network drive
Date: Thu, 6 May 1999 12:24:04 -0600
MIME-Version: 1.0
X-Mailer: Internet Mail Service (5.5.2417.0)

I was cleaning house on a fairly slow windows NT network drive and noted
that rm -rf (B20.1 under bash) is vastly slower than using explorer and
deleting
the same (copied) large directory. I didn't have time to do a set of tests,
but
the time difference is obvious

Any ideas? Enhancements?
Douglas Eck
