I was reading the transcript of RMS's recent forum on SOMENET (sp?), 
and it raised the following question in my mind:  Does 
dynamically linking  GPL'd applications (such as GIMP or others) with 
windows dll's violate the GPL?  As far as I can see, dynamic linking 
with windows dll's is almost unavoidable in the Cygwin environment.
