10.4 Customization

All variables are properly documented elsewhere in this manual. This section is designed to give general pointers on how to customize Gnus for some quite common situations.

10.4.1 Slow/Expensive NNTP Connection  You run a local Emacs and get the news elsewhere.
10.4.2 Slow Terminal Connection  You run a remote Emacs.
10.4.3 Little Disk Space  You feel that having large setup files is icky.
10.4.4 Slow Machine  You feel like buying a faster machine.
