c-indent-exphas not been fully optimized. It essentially equivalent to hitting TAB (
c-indent-command) on every line. Some information is cached from line to line, but such caching invariable causes inaccuracies in analysis in some bizarre situations.
signal-error-on-buffer-boundary. This was intended as a solution to user interface problems associated with buffer movement and the
zmacs-regiondeactivation on errors. However, setting this variable to a non-default value had the deleterious side effect of breaking many built-in primitive functions. Most users will not be affected since they never change the value of this variable. Do not set this variable to
nil; you will cause serious problems in CC Mode and probably other XEmacs packages! As of at least XEmacs 20.4, the effects this variable tried to correct have been fixed in other, better ways.
