7.61 .pushsection name , subsection

This is one of the ELF section stack manipulation directives. The others are .section (see section 7.66 .section name (COFF version)), .subsection (see section 7.79 .subsection name), .popsection (see section 7.56 .popsection), and .previous (see section 7.55 .previous).

This directive is a synonym for .section. It pushes the current section (and subsection) onto the top of the section stack, and then replaces the current section and subsection with name and subsection.
