Bug 000300

When Created: 08/23/1999 05:00:25
Against DJGPP version: 2.02
By whom: SilverBanana@t-online.com
Abstract: Compiler halts while compiling
I just tried to compile a c++ file and the compiler does halts as if it
hasn't finished yet (allthough it's just a short file (including headers).

The file "CC1PLUS" takes that infinite amount amount of time.

Im using DJGPP V 2.02 with the new 2.95 libs. I'm compiling with RHIDE 1.4.

If you want to have the file(s) that caused the error I will mail them to you.
They are a bit too large to include them here. (sorry).

The info provided in this report is obviously insufficient.

I tried to contact the author and ask for additional information,
but the address bounced.

So I'm closing this report. If the author reads this, please post
a complete description of the problem to comp.os.msdos.djgpp news
group. The minimal details required are:

        - the size (in lines) of the source file you tried to compile
          (please include the size of headers in the line count);
        - the exact command line used to compile it;
        - how much time is "infinite amount of time"? how long did you wait?
        - what does the compiler print if you add -v to the switches on
          the compilation command line?
        - does it work to compile that program from the command line of
          the DOS box?
