Bug 000060

When Created: 02/19/1996 13:25:30
Against DJGPP version: 2.00
By whom: lehmann@mathematik.th-darmstadt.de
Abstract: stat returns success on "*"
While testing the fix for the network drive bug with LFN, I noticed that the stat
function returns success on files that contain wildcards, where the result is just the
data for the first file matched. This is independent of whether LFN is active or not.
The same bug is present in bcc 4.5, but is not present in Watcom 10.0.

Workaround added: 02/19/1996 13:27:44

The obvious workaround for this problem would be to check if the filename contains
* or ? (this seems to be the solution Watcom uses), but I'm not sure how files containing
wildcards should be handled when they are present (e.g. with samba from a unix fs).

I believe this problem is solved in v2.01. If you think otherwise,
find an example and mail me.
