I ported Gray Watson's dmalloc library (look at ftp.letters.com)
to djgpp last year...

Right now I'm doing some work making it thread-safe on LynxOS
and using shared libraries on sun/linux (i.e. substitute dmalloc or
gnu malloc at runtime).  When I'm done, I'll port and put a copy
on simtel20...

It was fairly easy to port...
