Iam trying a kernel compile with pgcc 2.95.3 downloaded from goof.com. RH 6.1 with all updates. Have successfully compiles kernels and other on same machine. Uninstalled all previous versions of gcc and cpp. Linked /lib/cpp to /usr/local/pgcc/bin/cpp. When I make xconfig I receive this error message:

gcc: Internal compiler error: program cpp got fatal signal 4
make[1]: *** [tkparse.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.2.14/scripts'
make: *** [xconfig] Error 2

Any help anyone has time to give would be much apreciated.
