Probably not the first. I built 1.10.0 on my Slackware 14.2 system 
(glib2 2.46.2) a couple weeks ago and it built fine from source without 
error.

I was very impressed with the new GUI. I think it will be much more 
productive than the 1.8 version. Thanks to all who worked on this release.
