Is there anywhere that describes how these files work and what they do?

There's some information in the FAQ about gafrc, that seems to
indicate that gafrc has to be in the directory where gsched (and other
parts of geda?) is run.

Is there no way to have a default gafrc file for a user in the way
that most Linux/Unix programs work, e.g. having a geda directory in the
config area: ~/.config/geda


Symbolic links from /etc/gEDA seem rather a bad way to provide local
symbols as one would need root access and it's not easy to do on a
per-user basis.


Can one put customisation information in the .gEDA directory and, if
so, is this documented?
