Someone has ported most (possibly all) of the Hershey fonts to svg; if
any of these look worthwhile, let me know, as I can convert them:

If there is sufficient interest, I can do a better job of the bitmap
derived Hebrew font, by converting a free truetype font to a
centerline defined font.
