LIke for example, when you want to simulate EM field around the board and have 3D models of all the elements. And when you can import step model of enclosure etc. PCB as it is, is _way_ below such goals, so having 3D to rotate the board in program is imo pointless. Methinks good, realistic goal would be to repair and polish the PCB for functionalities it has claimed so far - it would be nice to have easy to control clearances ( per layer for vias and pins, if possible), good polygon fill with needed functionalities, working DRC etc, while working on next generation PCB. OK, perhaps some hack or two for low-hanging targets that would be nice to have could be cool, like panelization trick or two, maybe some export or import etc. Brane2
