First off, there's no such thing as "gEDA PCB Designer".=C2= =A0 It's just
"gEDA pcb".=C2=A0 Unless you mean Allegro or OrCAD, which refer t= o their
tools as "Allegro PCB Designer" and "OrCAD PCB Designer"= ;.

Thanks for clarification. I borrowed that name from my Debian instalation t= o better distinguish the board itself and the app. My mistake.

Second, yes, PCB will merge traces when loaded, if the traces are
exactly colinear and have the same characteristics (width, clearance).
This is intentional.

So, where can be the rub that pcb merge only some and not others then? Can = the cause be related to rounding and unit converting inside that dxf2pcb to= ol? I did not mention that all guides were the same at the time I've dr= awn them in CAD and it looks the same in converted PCB file.

So I see two possible conclusions. The gEDA pcb is so exact in recognizing = which line will be merged from it's pieces and dxf2pcb tool have roundi= ng / unit converting dispersion or the I've discovered a bug in pcb. Wh= o knows?
