I think I kinf of like the idea of optinally groupping GUI settings into a central local file somewhere (instead of having each .pcb an own setting file). I'm still knee deep in the config rewrite. Since some of the configuration is coming from the pcb file and I want to maintain compatibility with mainline, I have to touch the load/save code (so that it works to/from the new internal configuration representation). Before doing that, I decided to clean up the code a bit which involved moving the .pcb (and .fp) file format code into a core plugin. This means from the next release, replacable file formats and dynamic loadable file format plugins. If you have a preference for some pcb and/or footprint format, it may be a good time to vote for "[fileform]" at http://igor2.repo.hu/cgi-bin/pcb-rnd-poll.cgi (or if you want to implement the plugin for loading/saving your favorite format, please contact me - the infrastructure to make this easy is there now) Regards, Igor2
