I got similiar problems over the weekend - and fixed it by manipulating the *.pcb file with an editor after backup-ing the original *.pcb file. Just somewhere the files starts is a line with 'Grid' in the first column. In my case follows after the X and Y values some strange values off-the-grid which I replaced by fine mil-Values (my design is in inches). Saving in editor and re-opening the *.pcb file with pcb and all things worked fine :-) Regards, Hagen.
