You could not tell the router to restrict itself to some routes picked by me. And more troublesome, it was not able to play nice with tracks and vias already put in place by me. Both are hard deal breakers for me. > and most really do not like curved traces. > Anthony already wrote that most people told him that. Well, I remember quite some "awsome!" shouts on the list every time the toporouter produced some new results. We did not do a poll on whether people like or dislike topo router style traces back then. And Igors2 question was in no way a proper poll on peoples priorities for the direction of future development, either. > They seem to like push and shove much better. > So I have no real hope that more than about five people would use the > router, even if it would work fine. My prophecy: If you can fix the two issues I mentioned above, people will start to test and love your toporouter. And soon curvy shaped tracks will be hallmark of boards done with geda. ---<)kaimartin(>--- -- Kai-Martin Knaak tel: +49-511-762-2895 Universität Hannover, Inst. für Quantenoptik fax: +49-511-762-2211 Welfengarten 1, 30167 Hannover http://www.iqo.uni-hannover.de GPG key: http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?search=Knaak+kmk&op=get
