In that directory I find a file *Whats_new_in_2.0*__ What is the status of this file? To my knowledge PCB uses the yyyymmdd format as the version numbering, how does that relate to version 2.0? I did a git clone a few days ago so this file is in the repository. One of the reasons I ask is because in the file it says: /(9) Auto-placement code. It's broken. Don't use it./ Is this still true? Still working on my pcb developers introduction and in doing so I came across the README_FILES directory.
In that directory I find a file Whats_new_in_2.0
What is the status of this file?
To my knowledge PCB uses the yyyymmdd format as the version numbering, how does that relate to version 2.0?

I did a git clone a few days ago so this file is in the repository.

One of the reasons I ask is because in the file it says:
(9) Auto-placement code. It's broken. Don't use it.
Is this still true?

Cheers, Robert.
