I'll also add, again as a user, that I made the commitment to try these tools (gaf and pcb, now pcb-rnd too) and to stick with it for some time. But the consistent negative tone of the conversations on this list is quite disheartening, to the point where it's hard for me to envision recommending the gschem+pcb path to colleagues.
