I use pcb because it is freely available and have currently started to look at possibility for improved clearance because it is something useful for me. I added a footprint with a thermal pad yesterday where I had to make some workaround because pcb have preconceptions about how a pad look. In this particular case solder mask did not have exactly the same shape as pad and there where via in pad which I do not if it is possible to add in a footprint/element. Nicklas Karlsson
