A rigorous inflexible data model have disadvantages, it is better to put the necessary restrictions then file is used. As is now I think gschem is useful for: 1. ASIC. 2. Schematics for circuit boards. 3. Spice simulation. 4. Interconnection of circuit boards with cables, control cabinets. 5. VHDL? 6. Not the least fast sketches where details could be added later. I think about gschem as a tool to make a visual drawing of interconnections, nothing more nothing less. Nicklas Karlsson
