After this, the configure script explicitly told me that a cross compile requires guile to be installed on the host in the same version. So I compiled and installed guile v2.0.11 on my host system in /usr/local/ The compile took about half an hour on a 4 core processor with multi threading enabled... Now, configure of the cross compile is contended with my set-up. It still fails at link time. But the error message looks different: /------------------------- $ mpk build guile Configuring guile... configure: WARNING: using cross tools not prefixed with host triplet configure: WARNING: Guessing that stack grows down -- see scmconfig.h configure: WARNING: *** GNU Readline is too old on your system. configure: WARNING: *** You need readline version 2.1 or later.
