The HP printer should print at 4800 x1200 dpi, which should be enough. What I didn't expect was if you are printing a Black and white image, ie just black ink used, if you tell it in the print dialog to print black, it drops the resolution back to 1200 x 600 ! to print at 4800 x 1200 with black ink you have to tell it to print in colour.
