That's a long term goal I have also. That goal fits with "able to use pcb with eeschema", and "able to use gschem with pcbnew" and any other tools such as icarus verilog plugged into a schematic module so it shows in a n editor when you push down to that level, and true hierarchy handled by gschem view and gnetlist -- as verilog-ams netlist. I used to do chip design and chip layout and the set up of pcb and gschem is possible to customize for that kind of work partly, and that's one reason I like it.
