Thanks for the replies. The problem went away when I got rid of a (previously acceptable!?) junction of 2 different names for ground, i.e. where gnd and Vss were connected together to suit the Vss/Vdd naming scheme of an IC I was using. Just using gnd everywhere instead now. Weird. Regards Matt
