I really have no idea. The typical tablet paradigm is a "long press" - you tap for "left mouse click" and you press and hold for "right mouse click". But perhaps we could modify the GUI so that if the tool is the selector (arrow), then the paradigm shifts back to the original Motif rules - click to select, menu/key operates on selection. That way you only need to tap.
