Despite the problems mentioned, yes, I could make it work fine. But only after to set GROFF variable and a ldconfig, after installing. Just did the note to identify possible causes. If ldconfig depends of distro type, as far as I understood, libtool could do it better? I had installed some others, like PCB, piklab, sdcc. Why no other applications require these type of actions?
